Start with your own routes
City trips, highway trips, family trips—different scenarios require different cars. Write down how many people will be traveling with you and what you usually pack in the trunk.
Determine the total budget
In addition to the auction price, consider commissions, transportation, registration, repairs, and a reserve for unforeseen work. Compare the final cost.
Make a short list
Choose two or three models that suit your needs. Compare dimensions, drivetrain, engine type and service availability.
Check a specific car
The model name does not tell you anything about the condition of the individual car. Photos, history, documents, and an estimate of future work are needed.
Agree on the next step
Before placing a bid, get a detailed estimate and clarify the terms of purchase, delivery, and responsibilities of the parties.
