The series was announced on the eve of the anniversary
BMW presented the 100 Jahre Nürburgring program on September 10, 2026. The racetrack itself opened on June 18, 1927, so the centenary will be celebrated in 2027. The announcement includes six BMW M cars and three BMW Motorrad motorcycles.
The automotive segment includes the M2, M3 Sedan, M3 Touring, M4 Coupé, M5 Sedan and M5 Touring. The design is based on the historic Nürburgring Green color and motifs of the Nordschleife.
Limits need to be read for each model
In the announcement, BMW specifically mentions a limit of 100 units for each of the three motorcycle models. This figure cannot be automatically applied to every vehicle in the series. Technical differences and availability should be clarified for the specific version.
How to evaluate an anniversary performance
A special edition can be interesting due to the combination of design and factory equipment, but the inscription on the body is no substitute for proof of origin. For a future purchase, keep the order, specification and service documents. Compare it with a regular model in terms of equipment and condition, without adding a guaranteed collector's allowance to your budget.
