Victory from pole position
BMW concluded the DTM round at the Sachsenring on September 13. Marco Wittmann won Saturday's race in the BMW M4 GT3 EVO of Schubert Motorsport from pole position. This was his 21st DTM victory and the first triumph for BMW M Motorsport at this track.
On Sunday, Wittmann finished sixth after starting from 19th position. The weekend saw him move up to third place in the individual standings, 24 points behind the leader before the finale in Hockenheim.
Why the entire race weekend is important
Saturday's success and Sunday's return to the points zone show different sides of the competition. Starting position, weather and traffic change the driver's task, so one best time does not describe the result of the stage. The chances of the title in the message remain open; the championship result is still ahead.
M4 racing and road car
The M4 GT3 EVO is a specialized racing car. Its performance cannot be used as evidence of the condition or speed of the regular M4 from the ad. For a road-going sports BMW, the service history, track records, condition of brakes and tires are important. Before buying, checking the documents and equipment is more useful than the kinship of the name with the DTM winner.
