Investing in service competencies

On September 4, Hyundai Motor and the Korean agency KOICA announced the launch of the Hyundai-KOICA NextGen in Ghana. The project is designed for five years with a total funding of five billion Korean won, which the partners will provide equally.

The program involves the development of training courses and two educational centers. 405 teachers and students are to receive support. Plan International Korea and Plan International Ghana are involved in the implementation.

Why study the auto market?

More complex powertrains and electronics increase diagnostic requirements. The development of local specialists is important for the after-sales serviceability of cars. At the same time, the announced training project does not mean that every independent workshop has already received equipment or certification.

What to check before international delivery

When choosing a car for operation in a new region, it is worth determining in advance the service that works with its model and drive. Check the availability of diagnostics, personnel training and spare parts supply channels. The purchase price without such a plan may hide future downtime. The NextGen program shows the direction of development, and the readiness of a specific service is checked separately.
