Multiple destinations in one trip
On September 4, Hyundai Motor Group announced a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology of Oman. It covers smart cities and green mobility within the framework of Vision 2040. The initial term of the framework cooperation is one year with the possibility of automatic extension.
Separate agreements include a pilot hydrogen city bus and EV charging deployment. A 240kW station near Muscat was mentioned, along with Oman Oil Marketing Company and the EVO brand.
Why the power of the station is not all the information
The number 240 kW describes the capabilities of the equipment, and the actual charging speed will also be determined by the vehicle, temperature and battery charge. The memorandum and deployment plan do not confirm the availability of the station to the driver at all times.
How to plan an electric car trip
Before your trip, check the charging system, compatible connector, access and payment method. For an unfamiliar network, it is useful to have a backup stop. A hydrogen bus in a pilot project belongs to a different infrastructure: the presence of such a pilot does not mean an open refueling network for private hydrogen cars.
