The agreement defines a new sales format
On September 10, Volvo Cars announced the finalization of an agreement with Geely Auto for Lynk & Co in Europe. From January 2027, Volvo Cars will become the exclusive distributor of the brand in the region and will be responsible for its commercial activities.
It is expected to use Volvo's existing retail and service infrastructure. Lynk & Co will retain its brand, and the design, development and certification of the global model range will remain its responsibility as part of Geely Auto.
What may change for the buyer
A wider sales and service network can make it easier to access cars. However, a general agreement does not mean that every Volvo dealer will immediately start servicing all Lynk & Co. Specific points and services need to be checked during the implementation process.
Pre-import verification
For Lynk & Co cars, check the primary market, availability of spare parts and service support for the selected version. Check the warranty conditions with the documents, do not rely only on brand affinity. The date January 2027 means the future start of the new format: it does not automatically change the conditions of purchase and repair today.
