Two directions of personalization
On September 14, BMW revealed accessories for the fifth-generation X5 and the first all-electric iX5. The M Performance line includes design and aerodynamic elements, while the Functional Collection offers solutions for carrying things and everyday use.
Among the announced items are front splitters, spoilers, diffusers, mirror housings, wheels with a diameter of 21 to 23 inches, Aero roof boxes and Travel & Comfort elements. The range depends on the model and specific position.
Materials have practical value
BMW explains the use of aramid in some exterior parts by its ability to transmit electromagnetic waves. This is important for sensors and antennas, which must remain functional after accessories are installed. The external similarity of a part to carbon does not mean that the material has the same properties.
Equipment for your roads
Large wheel diameter should be evaluated together with tire profile, comfort and cost of seasonal kit. For roof box, check permissible load and compatibility of fasteners. When ordering parts for imported BMW, check the generation and part number: accessories for the new X5 are not automatically compatible with the previous body.
